Wolfmother

This is my new favorite band. They are sold out at Webster Hall this weekend, and I wasn't on the bandwagon early enough to get a ticket. Bummer. Check out their website at http://www.wolfmother.com and listen to their song "White Unicorn." They sound like a throwback to the rock bands of the 70s. You don't hear this sound anymore. They also have a site at http://myspace.com/wolfmother where you can listen to some of their other songs, including "Dimension." Apple is also using the song "Love Train" in its new ad campaign. I think that's how the subliminal Wolfmother seed got planted in my head. And how can you not love the band's name and album art? Fantabuloso.
