Lefty Jon Lester, a 24 year-old cancer survivor, threw a no-hitter tonight. Unbelievable. The 18th Red Sox pitcher to throw a no-hitter. That non-trade of Lester and Jacoby Ellsbury for Johan Santana is looking pretty good right now. And how about Jason Varitek? He's the first baseball catcher in history to catch 4 no-hitters (Hideo Nomo, Derek Lowe, Clay Buchholz, and Jon Lester). After Buchholz's last year, I didn't think I'd see another one for a long time, but this one might be the sweetest of them all.
