My Head Hurts

Ohhh, tied a good one on last night. It was one of those nights when I left work on the late side, thinking okay, maybe I'll have fun but I'm tired, so I'm not expecting too much. It's usually those nights where I end up having a blast and getting utterly toasted. Problem was, I had bar popcorn for dinner at around 11:30 p.m., which was preceded by a good five pints of Stella and Yeungling. Not smart. The original plan was for a bunch of us to venture out to the Beer Garden in Astoria; J. and I tried a few weeks ago but the line reached around the block so we left. But last night it rained, so K.G., the Evite Queen, changed the plan to Professor Thom's or something downtown. Apparently it's a Red Sox bar easily reachable by the L Train, so I will be a regular there I have a feeling.

Our visit to PT's was followed by a short walk to Grassroots, a divey pub that had the most disgusting bathrooms I've seen in awhile. Just thinking about them is making me dry heave. But it was low key and fun and it had lots of tables to sit and talk. That's where I incurred most of my damage. Then in came S. with her new beau, 24 (or is he now 25?). They and their crew gave me a second wind, which helped me get where I am today. Really nice guy, 24, but he apparently doesn't know about S.' blog (oopsie, my bad!) It is a serious question whether to tell a prospective love interest about Bloggy or not. Especially once I begin taking the dating thing a bit more seriously, which begins tonight. On the one hand, it's too much information, and way too soon. On the other hand, it's definitely an inside track into my head. On the other hand, the inside of my head is often a scary place to visit. Ergo, best to keep Bloggy to myself until the coast is clear.

Boy I hope this hangover's gone soon.

(oh, double bonus: PTs is also a Michigan bar - a perfect place for saturday afternoons/evenings in September October!!)

We will definitely have to catch some games this fall. A little Surf N' Turf.

I'm ready for Astoria whenever you are...
