Party Down In Mo-Town

Wow, this is a great story. The Detroit Tigers swept the Oakland A's 4-zip, and they are going to the World Series for the first time in 22 years. This team lost an unbelievable 119 games just three years ago. Now they have the chance to be champions. Every year it seems there is one team in baseball whom destiny has blessed. It feels like this is Detroit's year. (Knock on wood three times and kiss the garlic). They have great pitching, and if I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, Pitching... Wins... Championships...

They also have a great coach -- I love watching Jimmy Leyland get choked up every time he wins a series. If they win the whole enchilada, somebody better have some Kleenex handy, 'cuz it ain't gonna be pretty.

My prediction:

If they play the Mets, Detroit in 6.

If they play the Cardinals, Detroit in 5.
